The EPP diploma offers a European Qualifications Framework (EQF) level seven qualification.

Undergraduate and graduate studies

The five-year course is split into two parts, in line with European standards. A three-year undergraduate programme covers the core curriculum (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree). Then, a two-year pre-specialisation graduate course (equivalent to a Master’s degree) offers two options: ‘Social, occupational, organisational and health psychology’, or ‘Integrative clinical psychology and psychopathology’.

The programme offers students 60 European credits (ECTS) per year (30 per semester), i.e. 300 ECTS by the end of the course. On completing the graduate diploma, EPP students can apply for the title of Psychologist in France, and also enrol on a PhD programme.

Graduate course (years 4 and 5)

The first year of graduate studies is divided into a common core curriculum for all students, alongside options so they can pre-specialise in either ‘Social, occupational, organisational and health psychology’, or ‘Integrative clinical psychology and psychopathology’.

The second year is spent delving deeper into students’ specialised subject area. As part of the ‘Clinical’ specialisation, students can choose between ‘Justice’, ‘Children and Teenagers’, ‘Vulnerability and Recovery’, or ‘Vulnerability – Clinical psychology for borderline situations’.

Theory and practice combine during years 3, 4 and 5, as students complete work placements (see placements tab).

Students must also write a master’s research dissertation during their graduate course, which helps them hone their research methodology and scientific writing skills.
