An international outlook is a defining feature of the École de Psychologues Praticiens. Our cooperation and mobility initiatives are built around three key pillars:
- Broadening perspectives: to discover different ways of living, thinking, and practising psychology, fostering adaptability and openness to others.
- Guidance: to support you one-to-one throughout your individual projects, whether in France or abroad.
- Co-creation: to develop sustainable projects in collaboration with our international partners and institutions.
By choosing an international mobility experience or benefiting from the global outlook offered on our French campuses, you will strengthen your ability to practise your future profession and provide the best possible support to individuals in an ever-changing world.
Outbound International Mobility
Study Abroad
Studying abroad as part of your degree gives you the opportunity to discover new approaches to psychology, develop transferable skills valued by employers, broaden your perspective, and enhance your language proficiency.
At the École de Psychologues Praticiens, these international opportunities include study semesters abroad, dual-degree programmes, and international internships.
The School also welcomes international students.
Study Abroad Semester – Mobility in Europe (Erasmus+) and Beyond
Study Abroad Semester
From the third year onwards, students have the opportunity to complete a semester of study at one of our partner universities. Selected students take courses of their choice at the host university.
A semester completed abroad is fully recognised as part of the École de Psychologues Praticiens degree programme through the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) or under bilateral agreements with partner institutions.
Specific academic arrangements are also in place to enable students to continue working on their dissertation and complete internship requirements during their mobility period.
Erasmus + Programme
As a holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), The School enables its students to undertake a study mobility at a partner university within Europe while benefiting from financial support provided by the European Commission through a monthly Erasmus+ grant.
Depending on individual circumstances, this funding may be supplemented by additional support for environmentally sustainable travel (“green mobility”) or by an inclusion grant for participants with fewer opportunities.

Students may also benefit from other Erasmus+ opportunities on an occasional basis, including short-term mobility through Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs).
This programme is co-funded by the European Union.
Bilateral Partnerships
Outside the European Union, students can take advantage of a wide range of study abroad opportunities through our bilateral partnerships in South America, Canada, Africa, and the Mediterranean region.
The full list of partner institutions is available in the “Our Partner Universities” section.
Free Mover Status
Students with a specific academic project may apply to study at a university that is not one of the École de Psychologues Praticiens‘ partner institutions under Free Mover status.
The same academic requirements apply, including credit validation and course equivalencies. Participation in a Free Mover programme is subject to prior approval by The School.
Dual Degree with HEC Montréal
Since September 2022, students enrolled in the Social Psychology Applied to Work, Organisations, and Occupational Health pathway have had the opportunity to earn a dual degree from HEC Montréal and the École de Psychologues Praticiens.
Available through a competitive selection process from the fourth year onwards, this pathway allows students to complete their fifth year between the École de Psychologues Praticiens and HEC Montréal, where they enrol in the Graduate Diploma in Management (DESS) – Organizational Development.
This programme provides graduates with dual expertise in psychology and management, while offering a strong international dimension.
Our Partner Universities
Our network of partner universities is a key strength of the École de Psychologues Praticiens‘ international outlook. Located across Europe, North America, South America, and Africa, these institutions offer students the opportunity to pursue academic mobility in a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and educational environments.
Through these partnerships, students can complete part of their degree abroad, broaden their academic and intercultural skills, expand their international network, and gain a rewarding experience that is highly valued by employers.
Our Students' International Experiences
Studying abroad is a truly transformative experience. Discover the stories of our students who have completed an international mobility programme through their video testimonials and dedicated articles.
International Internships
From the third year onwards, students have the opportunity to complete part of their required internship hours abroad, either during the summer period or as part of a gap year.
These internships may take place within our international partner network or as part of an individual project, subject to approval by the Internship Office and the International Office. Each student receives personalised support in developing and preparing their internship project.
The Specific Case of the Fifth Year
Students also have the opportunity to complete a long final-year internship during an optional sixth year, particularly through internship programmes in hospitals and private clinics in Québec.
Mobility Support and Scholarships
To help reduce financial barriers, the École de Psychologues Praticiens offers several international scholarship programmes for students who need them most:
- Erasmus+ grants, co-funded by the European Union (including inclusion and green mobility top-up grants);
- Regional International Student Mobility Grants (BRMIE);
- Social and international scholarships awarded by The School.
Preparation and Support
Support services are available on both of our campuses. Selected students benefit from pre-departure preparation workshops, assistance upon return, and personalised support throughout their stay, provided by psychologists specialised in expatriation.
Language Support
Optional language courses (particularly in English, German, Italian, and Spanish) are available under certain conditions to help students reach the required level before departure.
In addition, all students at the École de Psychologues Praticiens have access to the Online Language Support (OLS) programme of the European Commission, allowing them to develop their language skills online in all official languages of the European Union.
